Bonus Boozeup

The Village Hall was the venue for a thank you boozeup this evening.  All those who help with maintaining the church and its grounds, including the opening and closing roster, were invited to gather and enjoy it as a social occasion.  It was good fun, although I had a strong discussion with one of our number about Brexit – he was talking some rubbish about unelected bureaucrats, as if that wasn't part of the British political system as well.

The gentleman speaking in this photo is a lay preacher, but he is having to step down for family duties, so the number of services in this group of villages will have to be reduced.  Too few ministers.
