Royal Star
It's our turn to lock up the church at the top of the hill this week. Mrs B is still feeling the effects of Covid – tiredness, mainly – so I have been making the near-vertical trek for the task.
And this is a tree next to the path on the approach to the church, a magnolia stellata. Mrs B is the Head Gardener and Arbiter of Floral Taste and she has pronounced herself dissatisfied with this species, much preferring the normal one with large petals.
There, I've displayed my utter ingnorance of flower stuff, but of course I agree with the Head Gardener.
