Swathes of yellow

We left home in time for Gavin to get to his 9am governor meeting at the school - while he was in his meeting I took Xena for a walk, I had a plan of where to walk her and set off. I saw many other dog walkers and so just followed them to find a lovely walk along a river. After the walk I had a delicious cappuccino at a dog friendly cafe, and then went back to the car to wait for Gavin to finish his meeting....and waited and waited ...it ended up being a 3 hour meeting so we set off for Norfolk much later than expected.

The traffic was quite bad, as it is in the middle of the day. All through Cambridgeshire and Norfolk we saw so many beautiful fields of yellow. We don't see many rapeseed fields in Surrey near to where I live - we did 20 years ago but these days the farmers seem to be planting other crops. We had a quick stop for me to take some photos - I say a quick stop as we were racing against the clock to get to Norfolk in time for our grocery delivery. We got there 10 minutes before the Waitrose van pulled up!

After we had unpacked and packed away all the groceries we took Xena for a walk on Brancaster beach. It was windy and cold, I am FED UP with our cold spring weather!

I am now cooking supper while Gavin is re-grouting a shower upstairs as we have had a leak and the builders did not come to repair it as promised, grrr!

Tomorrow is meant to be better weather, I hope so as I have a full day planned.
