The best spots

The feral and abandoned cats always find the best spots. We can always tell which cats are feral and which are abandoned. They are all outside cats bu the abandoned ones let you stroke them and will purr. The feral ones come for food but keep a certain distance. Our favourite and prettiest feral cat will now sit on the other side of the window and wait to be fed and will now only back away a little when we open the window to put a bowl out. Previously she would run away. It had taken two years to gain just that level of trust. I spent the morning up on the mezzanine level of the basement extracting old windows and shutters that should have been disposed of years ago. It was awkward and heavy work but I had enough energy left for tennis this afternoon. In fact I ended up playing for three hours and had some good games.
