Upholstery started again this morning. It was a new venue, 15 minutes drive and a very nice village hall but only parking is on the road. Not too far to carry stuff thought. I got Ns advice on how to best join the fabric which frays a lot, did all the pattern matching and then got the seat cover lined up and tacked on , ready for stapling at my next session in three weeks time. Just realised that i’ve left some surplus fabric hanging though. Left a bit early in order to be ready for the handyman arriving . He cut and replaced a tile which had broken on the small roof over the french windows, and then hung three mirrors and a picture and put up 4 shelves, a coat rack, towel hook, a sheet of perspex behind the taps in the downstairs cloakroom, a hanging plant and an old plate rack in the shelter. I could have done everything except the roof tile myself but he was much quicker and it was good to get lots of things ticked off. He was a nice man too - would use him again
