After two and half years of daily kidney dialysis on Wednesday I was lucky enough to have a transplant through the live donor programme. It is difficult to express my thanks to my brother who donated his kidney. His selfless act will be life - changing for me. Forever in your debt.

Both our operations went smoothly and we are making good recoveries. Thanks to the wonderful transplant team at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. I’m already looking forward to getting back to some of the activities I’ve missed over the last three years.
