2023 Sunday — Graduation Bear
Today I put my little graduation bear out front on the purple bicycle. Commencement season has arrived. I’ve heard chatter about ceremonies just about to happen.
Tomorrow our dear friends Paul & Virginia (from our Catalina Island Family Camp days) will watch as their middle daughter Lisa receives her Ph.D. from California Baptist University in Riverside. Lisa is single, approximately 40 years old, and an instructor at CBU. This degree will change her role to that of professor.
I’ve always loved graduation; it was certainly a perk in my role as professor at the college where I was employed. I love all the pageantry. Our school year always ended in a victory; then I headed into summer on the intoxication of the celebration: confetti, flowers, champagne, and ballons.
So, let’s celebrate!
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
