Unusual

Had a slow morning with lazy breakfast then took hound out for a walk round the neighbourhood. 

Spotted this unusual rolling pin left out.  Looks like it might be to roll out biscuits, buns or scones.  Someone might correct me.
Carried on drawing until lunchtime then packed art materials away. 

Mid-afternoon headed to my neighbour JQ.  She'd recently had a nasty fall in her kitchen.  Her foot had caught on something and though she'd tried to prevent a fall she hit her top lip on the concrete tiles.  She has 16 stitches inside her upper lip and will have to have front teeth removed and have a denture with possibly implants in the future.  She lives alone, is mobile and active and has lots of neighbours she can call on including us.  She's being very brave about it.

I took round some pastel de natas to cheer her up. She can eat them if they are cut up.

This evening reserved a Northumberland holiday cottage for us 2 and the hound in October.
