Sunny side up

Quiet Saturday.  Made curry for tonight and tomorrow's dinner.  Put washing out to dry. Finished reading The Bookseller of Kabul which I was quite relieved about.  Afghan society particularly for women is claustrophobic, cruel,  inequitable and anachronistic and that's without the Taliban. The interpretation of the Koran is stifling.  I feel like I've come up for air with bursting lungs after being submerged.

I still feel it's important to learn what other cultures experience.  The benefits of reading.
