A Dog's Life

It's so great to be here, I feel like a lucky dog.

At Crissy Field, dogs are allowed off-leash except in the Wildlife Protection Area which is well marked. It is so carefree to watch them romp on the beach with the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz as a backdrop.

What a magnificent structure. Its titan piers grip the ocean floor, Its great steel arms link shore with shore, A playground on one side. To the North, the redwood empire's gates. The bridge was supposed to be grey and black. But when the steel parts arrived in an orangey red primer, someone had the vision that it would meld best with the scenery. Wheeew, that was close.
