For Mothers' Day this year I got a trip to a pottery painting place with H. It all got delayed by various things but we finally went this afternoon. A tiny panda is now waiting to be clear-glazed and fired.

I photographed this bowl midway through painting it with several colours. The idea, from H, is that I will scratch off the top coat of turquoise to reveal the pink and green below. But I ran short of time so I've brought it home to finish, before it gets returned it to the studio for the firing.

They could both be beautiful or terrible, but we had fun together doing something creative.
