Basking
Planted out a couple of fruit trees in the playground this morning (a bit late I know) while the others did most of the work with the kids to plant the violas. They're starting to lose their initial frenzied excitement. Well most of them are - some scream whenever they see a worm or think the trowels are for swordfights.
Then all four of us had a break in a local cafe with a hot drink and snack while we mulled over progress (limited) and plans (we need to dial them down slightly I think). Plus there were some laughs.
After hometime and lunch I got some more late gardening done while H was playing with friends and was attacked by rose thorns. They really can be vicious! On the plus side, the sun was out and it was definitely warm in the sun, if you kept moving anyway.
Tried out a new recipe for dinner (OK but not amazing), had a bath and then struggled to help H with the ridiculously tiny nanoblocks bonsai tree set. They're so small they are almost impossible for adult fingers, but so complex they need a grown-up to decipher the instructions.
