wine tasting

If you have watched the fantastically funny movie Sideways, you will know that one of the key characters had a special affinity with Pinot Noir. Peter Finlayson, that I spoke to at the Great Grog wine fair on Friday night, is known as the pioneer of pinot in S. Africa. It's always great to meet the winemaker in person and hear about their passion for their wines. One of his wines was called Hannibal as the grapes came from the regions trekked by Hannibal (yes there was a chianti grape in there too). Lara and myself enjoyed his wines so much that we tasted them all end to end (hic).
