2023 Friday — Chloe
Today we enjoyed lunch at the Cambria Nursery's 3-day celebration of Earth Day; while there we also purchased a new welcome flag for the front yard, a pole to hang our wind chimes, and four 6-packs of lavender pansies. We really enjoyed ourselves and had a very good time at the nursery.
We exited the nursery and drove to the Re•Create Thrift Store that the nice folks of the Vineyard Church own and operate. It is one of the best thrift stores I have ever shopped in. It’s clean, well-organized, attractively decorated, stocked with quality pre-owned goods, and the prices are very, very low.
In our backyard I’ve been creating one flower bed of beautiful artificial lavender flowers to provide color and beauty while we wait for our draping Rosemary to grow and mature; so when I walked into the Re•Create Thrift Store and found a bunch of artificial flowers in lavender, I was elated.
Then we took the two pups, Chloe & Mitzi, to Shammel Park to walk, sniff, and do their business. It's a lovely city park with a playground, lots of picnic tables, and just beyond the hedge and wooden fence is the ocean. The pups love that place.
We made one last stop at the Farmers Market to purchase several mini olallieberry pies from the nice people at the Linn's Restaurant booth.
We arrived back at the house with lots of time to relax till dinner. I enjoyed that immensely. For dinner I baked a Trader Joe's lasagna. It was our first and it was delicious.
And the photo is Chloe watching me ascend our stairs with some of the treasures we brought home today. We always get the pups out of the car first and into the house when we return from our outings.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
