A nice-like day.

I see Jerra has referred to Nichol End's Scones.

The burning question?  Do you have one Scone OR Oan Scoan?

I was about to say - "Imagine if you will." a Scone large enough to constitute an entire meal, OR large enough that A enlists B's help to finish one.
THEN - I thought I'd better look it up first.  NO © required  ( :¬o

Would you believe:-
" His Iconic line from the beginning of every episode. "Imagine if you will."
Well if you look it up now he never once said it. Not in the beginning, not in any episode and not at the end."  Just like Capt. Kirk NEVER actually said the exact words "Beam me up Scotty"
Be that as it may - still imagine it?
B-coz that's what you'll be faced with @ Nichol End Marine Cafe.

Once "Loaded to the Gunnles" with scone, we shot a few potential Blips, leapt into the car and circumnavigated Derwentwater pausing at Kettlewell, where Jerra took his shot of Skiddaw.

I shot Skiddaw from Nichol End and then chose this view instead - SO - the nearest you see to Skiddaw, here, is ----> "Latrigg is one of the lowest fells in the Lake District in North West England, but is a popular climb due to its convenient location overlooking the town of Keswick and the beautiful views down the valley of Borrowdale from the summit."
just to the left of those Masts.

Another quote?  "A grand Day out." © Wallace, of Gromit fame.

It is said that our dialect owes a lot of its existence to an assortment of "Scandiwegian" invaders © Flanders & Swann.  I wasn't aware the Dutch had also had an influence - BUT - way back when Mam did a Dutch lad a favour.  He wrote a thank-you letter, in Dutch which she had to get Eddie to translate.  However I remember this phrase on every "nice-like day" - "hartelijk danke" = "thank you very much".
