Bee Rescue

Opened the conservatory door this afternoon, which often means a bee flies in and cannot get out, and has to be rescued.

This is today’s bee. Before capturing her (I think it’s a she) in a mug sealed with a piece of paper and taking her to the door for release, I took a photograph. The green background is our back lawn. I thought she was a mason bee, but checking I think it more likely she is a tawny mining bee.
