Wednesday: Dandelions
Very cold wind from the east, temperate around 13°C and it was very pleasant for gardening in the sheltered part of the garden.
Today’s jobs: cutting back verbena bonariensis (took a few cuttings too), removing dead cranberry plant - last summer’s heat was too much for it.
Found a small Inula - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2470725147749781044 - which I’ve planted under the twisted hazel.
Also started off some Nasturtium seeds in cells, covered with a plastic dome for now.
As always, at this time of the year, the Dandelions are for my Big Sister Margaret who has always loved seeing them and it seems as if the whole world has caught up with her as they are loved by everyone for their early source of nectar for the pollinators as they wake up from their winter hibernation and are beginning to create their next generation :-))
I’ve been relaxing too watching a couple of episodes of “Mystery Road: Origin” on iPlayer
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
