Tuesday: Around the Garden

A lovely sunny morning, then we had a few showers but not enough to soak the garden.
Gardening jobs today: moving tomato seedlings from their seed tray into modules. These were mixed tomato seeds from last year's Cottage Garden Seed Swap, they have germinated well and I have about 40 seedlings - I'll be lucky if half of these grow to maturity! Cucumbers also moved into individual pots, 10 of them and one marrow! I've bought some courgette seeds which I'll start off at the end of the month.
Started off some salad seeds, also in pots.
All of the above are in 2 large clear plastic storage boxes with lids - I'll put them outside during the day and bring them into the kitchen overnight. Thought this might protect the seedlings from the cold, wind and bugs! Hopefully prevent them getting too "leggy" too ... we'll see.
Transplanted Kale "Red Russian" into little pots too, grew them successfully a few years ago - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2638879352283991583 - they are tough enough to stay outside in my draughty greenhouse.
Had a walk around the garden late afternoon, took some photos:
Wild Garlic flowers, blackcurrant flowers, Blueberry blossom and my favourite purple violet with dark leaves - it pops up everywhere!!
MrD had temperature "issues" with the paint for the sheds, not warm enough so paint was gloopy and not up to being sprayed :-((
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
