Daggers drawn?

An exhausting day with Ozzie daughter and granddaughter.  This morning we did a quick trip into Durham then walked around Finchale Abbey where we spotted this sword in a tree.  Must find out more.  Then a walk along Seaham Beach looking for sea glass and then a tub Cherry Lee Lewis jumbo ice-cream followed by a drive down to Richmond for early dinner in Wetherspoons.  Cream crackered.
