Did a bit of garden pottering (defined as not needing to change into gardening clothes) and then drove over to Southwell to the garden centre to meet Ju for lunch to spend my birthday money on plants. Lunch was well cooked but didn’t really want anything on the menu- it all seemed a bit heavy or boring. Ended up with a veggie tagine type thing in a tartlet case- not what i was expecting at all!
Had a nice time choosing the plants- mainly climbers but also flowering shrubs. Went for the more unusual ones that Morrisons don’t sell!
Played with the kittens when i got home, then some weeding before i went to the surgery for PPG meeting. Practice manager announced she is leaving, as is the senior partner. Am hoping that we will get enthusiastic and positive replacements for both posts- we certainly need them!
Fortunately i took a photo of one if the raised beds in the morning as I completely forgot for the rest of the day.
