Birthday drive

Part business, part fun; John had to visit the social security office and we've found the small towns better for this endeavor. The Dalles is one of our favorite destinations, so that's were we headed. We are experiencing the coldest April in 40 years, so did not know what to expect. There was no rain, until we got back to the west side of the mountains. Many wildflowers are already in bloom. Western Meadowlarks were there, singing. The main blip is from the Dallas Mountain road, the extra is of a wild turkey that surprised us by the roadside with his mate. Ended the journey with a dinner with our daughters and one son-in-law. Great day!
