Spring in Pollok Park

I was up and out relatively early this morning in Pollok Park. Definitely more green than just a few days ago, pleased to see both woodpeckers coming and going feeding the chicks. While I was watching a kingfisher emerged from a sandy bank not where I usually see them. I celebrated with a late breakfast of croissant with black cherry jam.
Worked out a few walking routes in the afternoon and got organised to complete the final leg of the Union Canal this week, or as far Ratho. I’ll need to do the section again later in the spring, unreasonable to expect folk to walk 17 miles.
A second foray into the park for a slow run, one of these a week which is all I often do won’t cut it.
