Amelanchier

This morning despite the awful weather forecast, I was determined to join our walking group. There were just three of us ladies who had decided to be brave and we walked 8 miles through squishy mud and large puddles across the local commons. We avoided going onto the coast path because at that point it was really blowing a hoolie. We found a bank for lunch but didn’t stop long as we chilled down very quickly as we were rather damp despite the three of us being dressed for inclement weather. I was happy to be wearing my wellies and had two walking poles to keep me steady.
After a bath and a chat to a friend I sowed some more seeds and looked for some flowers in the garden. They have all had a battering with the wind and rain but the amelanchier flowers on my two trees are my offering for today’s flower Friday. I can see some pink in the sky this evening.
