Snow Bunting

A little away from the snow but only by a few feet.

I have recently been on a one-week trip to Speyside in Scotland.  Although I saw lots of wildlife including, pine marten, red squirrel, badgers, osprey, golden eagles, Slavonian grebes, long tailed ducks, black-throated divers, crested tits, crossbills etc, the trip wasn't completely stress free. Three members of my family got into difficulties and sadly one of them is now on end-of-life care in a hospice. Also, my younger brother who lives in Thailand suffered a stroke, but he is receiving care there and seems to be improving or at least stable. My son, who is on the autism spectrum,  just needed help arranging some emergency dental treatment but he was getting himself into a bit of a tizz. Taking phone calls, reading messages, offering support and arranging appointments whilst bird watching isn't ideal. There were times when I wished I was at home, but I couldn't have done much more even if I had been at home.
