Thursday: Our Street

We are currently without a car.  We’ve had a bit of a slow oil leak so K took it to Spanish Lookout to have it checked out.  It’s about an hour from Belmopan but the garages there are run by Mennonites who are, by far, the best equipped and most professional garages.  Anyway, it turns out we need a new turbo which has to be ordered from the UK so it looks like we’ll be without a car for a good couple of weeks.  

The garage owner, Mr Ben (‘and suddenly, as if by magic, the shopkeeper appeared’ - hands up if you get the reference!) says he can rent us a car so we’ll see how that transpires.

Anyway, the walk to work gave me the perfect opportunity to show you our street.  We live on the bottom right, by the row of palm trees.
