Storm damage

I think this will be the year for nurturing friendships, especially has we had the flood damage for 9 months and couldn’t do as much entertaining. We have decided not to take the van to Ireland in July as going to the western Balkans in September will cost a lot and take a lot of time to plan. The post-Brexit regulations make things more complicated too, for us and the van. So we’ll have more time for having friends to stay.

This morning Ros called for coffee using two walking sticks as her hip is now so bad - there’s no date, or notion of how long the wait will be.

Ailie called in the afternoon and we had a short walk in Simonside woods. The rain rushed down the valley so we cut the walk short. The woods are open to walkers, unlike Thrunton Woods, closed since storm Arwen in 2021.

Disappointed that Nicola Bernadette has pulled out of the concert at the Sage on Saturday on health grounds. Still, getting last minute tickets for the children’s show tomorrow will be some compensation!!!
