Bordenball... WTF?

Ottawacker Jr. had been selected for the Alta Vista Elementary School for the second-ever citywide Bordenball Tournament, so it was incumbent on his father, and subsequently his mother, to go and cheer him on.

I have a confession to make: I had no idea what Bordenball was. From his descriptions, it could have been anything from hang gliding to chess - but it turns out it is a form of handball. And bloody entertaining it was too. I only managed one of the three group stage matches (stunning 14-2 victory) but Mrs Ottawacker filled in for me thereafter. Alta Vista came a very creditable 3rd and Ottawacker Jr. was happy. 

After that, a quick lunch with Michel P at the Pelican Grill, and home to start feeling a little under the weather...
