I've seen this female woodpecker around for a few days, but this is the first time I've spotted her on the peanut feeder. Not the clearest of pictures, because everything was blowing around in the strong wind and it's taken through a window too, but she makes a change from yet another flower picture, which was my only other option for today:-)

The builders are very close to being finished with the wall and patio and today they completed the two newly-laid brick paths at the front and tidied up the whole area, so it looks a lot more respectable now. Just the coping and the caps to be fitted on the wall ( a week on Friday) and the garden gate to be re-hung and then we can start to think how to "dress" the space, which is just gravel at the moment. The final touches to the patio will happen on Saturday and then the back garden can be tidied too and we'll get our space back at last:-) Roll on the summer (I hope!)
