Drama at the garden watering- hole

While in the local supermarket this afternoon I met a friend who told me about some friends who had invited a Dutch couple camping in Scotland to spend the night in their home.
 
The Dutch mistook the invitation for a fortnight and the friends could not understand why they showed no signs of leaving until the language faux pas was revealed.
Lets just say there was considerable confusion and embarrassment all round.
 
Meanwhile this magpie looks as if its wings have been caught in the monkey puzzle tree while attempting to land and at night a hedgehog creeps out in search of food. ( see extra).
 
Thanks to M’s wildlife camera I now have a never-ending source of blips from  daily drama at the watering hole, or just a record of nature in a corner of the garden
