A wander along the riverbank

We never expected to actually make it to the Lakes at all. However after a trouble free journey we arrived at our accommodation near Levens Hall.

Richard was tired so I left him relaxing whilst I went for a wander. I checked out Levens Hall and the topiary but it was not open. Then followed the river into the deer park. A wonderful gentle walk enjoying the deer relaxing in the sun and the goats with their young kids.

We both felt better for a change of scenery.
