Jelly ear

A Look example of this fungus growing on its favourite host, Elderflower.

We had gone to see the Avocets but there were none there.
The water level in the lagoon was much too high for them to walk around surface feeding.
I suspect the RSPB had closed the sluice gates to encourage the birds to temporarily move elsewhere whilst the electric fence was installed tokeep the foxes out.
