What an amazing day!

We’ve been to Bath on the British Pullman!

We joined other equally excited travellers at London Victoria and many photos were taken by patient and extremely courteous staff. So many beautiful outfits worn by both men and women!

After unlimited ‘Seasonal Bellinis’ and tea and coffee, a 3-course brunch was served while we travelled through beautiful countryside towards Bath Spa. Clouds increased but didn’t open to spoil the view.

The rain arrived once we arrived in Bath and as we hadn’t pre-booked any venues, we headed for the abbey and it was a brilliant choice. Wonderful architecture, an embroidery exhibition and a fantastic Discovery exhibition in the crypt, we headed for the river and Pulteney Bridge. More great views.

Back to the train and a champagne reception followed by a delicious 4-course dinner with wine.

Once at Victoria Station we simply changed platforms and were back home within 45 minutes. Both our train and bus came within minutes, no waiting at all.

It’s been a truly wonderful experience for a special anniversary. We thoroughly recommend it!

Btw, those shoes did me proud!
