Ciao Venice

Today we docked back in Venice. We were supposed to be off the boat at 9.55 but at 11.30 we were still waiting without any information. In the end we managed to sneak off the boat with some people who had a flight to catch. Otherwise I dread to think what time we would have escaped.

We got into the centre of Venice for around 1pm so headed to St Marks square for a drink, it was very good timing as the orchestra had just set up ready to play. It was a little pricey for a beer but you have to do it!

We then went to find a fresh pasta take away which had been recommended, it didn’t disappoint, we found a lovely spot by the canal to eat it.

We then had a slow walk back to the station to make our way back to the airport. The flight home was really clear so we got some great views leaving Venice!
