Jungle cruise

Today we were up nice and early for a boat trip around the canals in Turtuguero National Park. It was like something out of Jurassic park. We were very lucky and got to see a sloth, monkeys, lots of birds and some weird lizards which look like a leaf. We saw a baby monkey and it’s mother climbing high up in the trees, she was teaching the monkey how to climb and where there was a big gap she made a bridge with her body for the baby to climb over it was adorable.

This afternoon our tour guide took us around our hotel grounds as it is all part of the national park, we saw land crabs, frogs, monkeys and some huge spiders. Not going to sleep after seeing the spiders that live here! I also got bitten by a huge ant and it really hurt! I have to keep reminding myself we are living in there home.
