Pheasant

What a beautiful, sunny day! Later afternoon, I went for a walk to see how the bluebells are coming on. They're only just beginning, so I guess it will be another 2-4 weeks before they are beginning to carpet the woodland floors.

I was thrilled to see a yellowhammer and a nuthatch, as well as this fine specimen of a pheasant! I also noticed the beginnings of the seas of yellow oilseed rape that will soon be flooding our landscape.
