Day 2 on the Gulag

Up earlyish
Weather. 50 mph winds and horizontal rain. 
Visited neighbour to get my frozen lamb chops so will make him and i lamb chop casserole on Thursday. 
Took dogs to beach and we were almost blown to North uist 
Took a friend out to kilbride cafe for tea and cakes. She enjoyed that. 
Salar salmon on toast for dinner easy peasy.
Sparkie and mate came to fit towel rail about 6.30. Its now after 9pm and they have installed the box for the rail and the shaver point.
Ordered a pulley.
Digger guy couldn't come asit was too rough . Promised to come tomorrow  and sparkie also coming back tomorrow night so all systems go.
Due to really bad publicity and a lot of pressure, calmac have caved and retained the direct ferry from Lochboisdale to oban instead of having to get up at 4am to drive to Eriskay then to Barra i can now leave uist at the more civilized time of 7am.
Now if that damn wind would just stop!
