A Royal Garden Party

Today was the day we had tea with the Queen... Along with a couple of thousand other people of course LOL. Despite a threat of rain it stayed dry and we even had some sunshine later in the afternoon. The Duchess of Cambridge made an appearance and was very charming, taking her time chatting with people on the way to the Royal tea tent. (You didn't think they spend the whole time with the hoi polloi did you ? LOL) The Evening Standard reported Kate's appearance at the garden party in last night's paper.

We had a great time people watching, spotting some amazing hats and some very questionable outfits...! There were a number of Olympians and Paralympians in attendance and a few recognisable faces - just wish we could put names to them ! And we laughed when a large Canada goose flew in and started strutting around the royal lawn as if he owned the place LOL

All in all a very pleasant afternoon, topped off by a stroll through St James Park afterwards in the sunshine, and a lovely meal at the Thai Square on the Strand.

The badgers were waiting for their food when we got home... But no photos tonight ;)
