Crawling
Such a beautiful day! We were invited to help find the White Teasdale Violets and so turned up, not quite realising that this would involve crawling up and down the hill in some bizarre snail race!
Several tiny plants were found, including one with a little white flower that Rob spotted. They are a unique plant and vulnerable to various threats so it’s great to help a little.
Then off to Howe Ridding for the first butterfly transect of the season. Happily the butterflies were there, including brimstone, comma and peacock so that was delightful.
Then Rob decided he would make a ‘cow pie’ for supper! See extra!
