Saturday

It was OH birthday today and his team won spectacularly which made his day.  

My day on the other hand, was a bit meh.  I couldn’t shake the feeling all day and didn’t really know what to do with myself.  I made some aubergine stew (capponata) but didn’t have celery or raisins so made a trip to tesco.  I then faffed and couldn’t settle until the postman delivered some stretch velvet fabric I had ordered.  I decided that would be my afternoon so put some good music on the radio and set about making No.1 another hair band.  However it turned out too big and my sewing machine broke so abandoned the second one in a teal green colour I had planned (and she sent me a picture of their trip to Ham House which showed her wearing the green one that I thought had been lost!!).  Frustrating few hours but decided to go out into the  garden instead and started a bit of weeding.  The ground is still a bit too wet but it was good to be outside.

OH home and I felt bad that is birthday had not been more special but we are out for lunch with No.1 and 2 and partner/friend tomorrow instead.

A 1/10 sort of day but it will be better tomorrow I’m sure.
