Very late night
I took Phin for a run round the field first thing so that he’d be a little tired for our journey up to Granton on Spey. He was quite antsy when we were putting the last of the stuff in the car so I had to keep showing him the bag with his things in!
We managed to set off only 5 minutes later than planned and had an uneventful journey to our lunchtime stop at House of Bruar. I bumped into an old friend from university in the ladies who I haven’t seen in a very long time so we had to grab a selfie.
The next stage of the journey up to Granton saw a lorry try to overtake just as a stretch of dual carriageway was ending so he cut in rather sharply and then slowed right down. Mr PHL was less than amused. At the next street of dual carriageway Mr PHL pulled out to overtake and as we passed the lorry the caravan snaked a lit. It was a little scary!
Arrived on site and got set up and then headed back along the road of Boat of Garten to meet friends who were staying in their static mobile home. We had a drink then took the boys for a walk in the woods. They’d dig us a very sprightly 14 year old Doberman who is just the gentlest dog. He and Phin get on well.
Back to their place for a few more drinks, and a delicious dinner of sole mornay followed by meringues and strawberry sauce. We played a couple of rounds of quiz questions and chatted and before we knew it, it was gone midnight.
Eventually hit the pillow just after 1.30, so backblipping on Saturday for Friday.
Thanks to BikerBear for hosting FlowerFriday. Finally blipped the wee patch of grape hyacinths growing wild outside our fence.
