Silly Saturday

This sign has been on this gateway for quite a long time - and the silly thing is clearly no longer relevant! "No Entry" is still appropriate but it's yet another field which is being converted into a massive housing estate. Now I know people need somewhere to live but I fear that the silly planners haven't taken account of the requirements of the future residents in terms of traffic, schools, etc.

The weather was a bit silly too, it did an April Fool trick on us! It seemed quite bright first thing and as I'd already decided to blip the sign, which is about a mile from home on the way to the Rising Sun Country Park (one of our favourite haunts), my Editor and I thought we'd have a walk there and get the blip on the way. Well on the way it became increasingly inclement - that fine drizzle which gets everywhere. So although we had our cagoules with us, we decided to abort the walk once we'd got the blip and go to the Park another day.

In case you don't yet know, the Silly Saturday challenge is hosted on the first Saturday of every month, in memory of the late Admirer who started it off and hosted it so well (weekly in her time).
