Helebore

I have quite a few in the garden and they self seed easily so I am always potting them up to put in other areas of the garden - a cheerful reminder that Spring is on it's way (eventually).

Today was BP first thing then home for a bit of pottering before going off to F for tea with the girls.  We have been doing the last Wednesday in the month for some time and it is always a tonic.  S joined us for a while from Scotland on face time and we had a tour around the new house.  M was telling everyone about her operation and sounded apprehensive.  Girls wanted an update on No.1 but I was a bit emotional and needed a moment.  They are all supportive........... but go home to getting on with their lives with their families while we and No.1 are in a weird sort of limbo - but onwards and upwards, day at a time blah blah.

Home for an hour more pottering and then off to T&P for midweek supper.  We think the midweek supper might be the new Friday/Saturday dinner.  It was a hearty stew with veg and mash and no 'poncey' food (T's words) although we sat in the 'posh' dining room - the table can seat 16 comfortably with the two leaves added in the middle.  It was welcome comfort food (although their house is sooooo cold - but P is a bit of a miser and won't put the heating on).  S&M and J&S also present and a bottle of wine 'rare find' 1993 (the year No.2 was born) was opened but it was past its best.

Good evening (although still thinking about No.1 most of the time).
