I took a quick detour through Moore village this evening on my way home from Speke.

Yesterday I blipped a barge sailing past a canal side building just outside Lymm. I thought that it was a disused warehouse but, thanks to the power of blip, fellow blipper, Shutterlag , was able to tell me that the building was formerly used as a hospital for canal horses.

I have also found out that there is a canal poet laureate.
