Willows
“All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree.”
Albert Einstein
Text from J to say he was planning a walk along the river, so we arranged to meet up at the ‘coffee bar’. It’s one of those things, we knew the place as ‘the coffee bar’ about 50-60 years ago, because that’s what it was, and a music venue for youngsters too. Don’t think there’s been one there for decades but we still call it by that name. Forecast for the week changeable so making the most of the sunshine and blue skies today. Took me about twenty minutes to get there but immaculate timing as J was just arriving too. Crossed the river and ambled along, exchanging news and catching up; plenty of nostalgia with recent passing of cousin C, who shared my Blipfoto journey. Sunshine has brought lots of people out, and it’s really warm in the sun (but I needed my jacket when it clouded over briefly). Eye-catching greens in the Willows around the pond by the play area, spectacular time of year as nature bursts into new life.
We went our separate ways after about an hour; walking back home I noticed the feathery streaks of high level cloud – rain on the way tomorrow.
