Mahonia
A morning tickling up the soil and removing weeds at the allotment, planted out a couple of gooseberry bushes and covered some ground to converse moisture and suppress weeds. Harvested leeks and parsnips.
On our walk this afternoon I spotted this colourful mahonia which Susan says is an evergreen which explains the deep red leaf.
Tonight we were at the Brook Theatre in Chatham to see that marvellous ensemble of fiddles called the Feast of Fiddles. I think we first saw then around 2001 but this is the first time since 2019. As good as ever
