It was a day of almost endless blue sky, blue sea, distant hazy blue hills, azure blue rock pools; pale yellow sand, pale yellow primroses, yellow coltsfoot, bright yellow gorse, bright yellow sun; white frosty leaves, breaking white waves, tiny white clouds, white blackthorn blossom and several other colours. They were some of the sights seen while we walked between Gullane to Yellowcraigs at low tide and back through the fields to Dirleton along the John Muir Way to Gullane
