Another massive organ ...

I haven't been posting photos of the amazing instruments we've seen, but this one, in the Cathedral in Bamberg, seems suitably splendid. We learned that this massive church, which has several steps up not only to the choir and more to the high altar but also to a discrete "church" at the rear, was 'purified' of all its Baroque decoration apart from the altar. Sadly, this purification involved the removal of all the stained glass, so the overall effect is austere and a tad bleak.
