Nuremberg Trials Courthouse

The final stop on a chilling tour of Nazi Nuremberg was the court where International Law was born in the aftermath of the Second World War. The four large upper windows in this building were immediately above where the four judges sat during the trials of prominent Nazi war criminals and were curtained during proceedings for security.

Immediately in front of the building, to the right of and behind where I was standing, there is a hideous petrol station, erected during the '50s when the people of the city felt rather differently about the trials that took place - they considered them to be 'Victors' Courts'.
