Spring-ish

It was a lovely but cool morning and the magnolia in the church garden was displaying its colours.

We said farewell to our pastoral assistant, Kay, who was retiring. She had been with us for 5 years and has been a great support to many members of the congregation, in particular during Covid. She will be missed.

The rest of the day consisted of paperwork - or at least an electronic version of paperwork (what might that be called?: it was more than just emails though there were many of those) .

And then tidying up rooms ahead of visitors due at the end of the week. A month or so ago they were clear but they appear to have silted up again!

By the time I took the dog out for a walk there was light hail then rain and it was turning cold. I tackled a pile of ironing in the evening which warmed me up, while having an eye on the new Dickens adaptation. I’ll reserve judgement until after a few more episodes but it looks promising.
