Nay they Didna

Its was a day of jobs today.  Started off with a first trip to the village post office as I'd stupidly mixed up the letters on one of the codes for my big food delivery.  Instead of getting two tubes of deodorant which should've cost about £8 in total, I'd accidently ordered two cases of some nice, but expensive gift soaps which cost £120.... so they needed to go back! Serve me right for blethering with the driver too much instead of ticking off my order as I went.

The farm shop was busy as they had their spring steeplechase event on and the staff were in high spirits, getting their faces painted and generally having a good time.  It's a good wee place. Then we were on to Hamilton as P needed to pick up his five string bass which was getting a new nut.  He was pretty surprised at how quickly they'd done it as places don't often have 5 string parts in stock, only to be told that they'd hand crafted one instead!  Not bad for £25.

On the way back to the car we passed the McColl's shop which used to have the town centre post office in it.  It closed down at the beginning of the year.  I love the conversation that different folks had, and the grammar pedantry...
